Please join us on April 10 for ‘Azure Campus Days’. An interactive session for those who are interested in or are currently using Microsoft Azure. The event will be held from 9am– noon in room 235 at the Pyle Center. Then from 1 until 4 pm, we will be having 60 minute one on one session that you can sign up for to discuss your own environments and any challenges you may have.
The morning session, we will step through Gartner’s 5 R's of migrating Applications to the Cloud using Microsoft Azure. Leveraging the Microsoft Azure cloud effectively can be a daunting task. There are many different ways to utilize the cloud intelligently, based on specific application needs and business cases. Join us to discuss different ways to use Microsoft Azure to make your applications more efficient, be more resilient, and require less maintenance. This session will focus on how the Gartner 5 R’s of migrating applications to the cloud (Rehost, Refactor, Revise, Rebuild, or Replace) can be used to simplify your technology needs and reduce IT headaches.
After lunch, we will offer one-on-one sessions to discuss your particular environments and how Azure might best meet your needs. UW–Madison and Microsoft Azure technologists (Steve Tanner - DoIT Systems Engineering and Operations, Mary Paulson Microsoft - Microsoft Academic Account Manager and Tom Lilly - Netrix) will help lead the morning sessions. Attendees will need to bring their own laptop in order to participate in the labs.
Because space is limited, please register for the event by April 9. We may not be able to accept all applications. We will notify you via email whether a space has been reserved for you or if you’ve been added to a wait list.
