5 | BIOCHEM 917 - Regulation of Gene Expression (Advanced Seminar) | None. Either email Bob Landick or Rick Gourse for info on meeting time and place. No registration required. Normally people just pop in and eat their lunch while one person presents. You can optionally register as a 1 credit course if desired. | Landick Lab and Gourse Lab joint journal club. Good option for 2nd and 3rd year students who need to fulfill the journal club presentation requirement. Generally casual format where one student/post doc will present a power point presentation on a recent paper generally related to gene expression regulation. These presentations normally go ~30 minutes, with 10-15 minutes of discussion about the paper. While the topic seems broad, most of the papers covered are about structural aspects of RNA polymerase, so just be wary of that. | |||||||||||||||||||||
