Please note -- The Reading Indigenously book club meetings are designed to be affinity spaces, meaning they specifically address and center the voices of people who share a particular identity and/or life experience. The intentional makeup of these sessions is not meant to exclude people, but instead to make clear that some spaces are held and maintained in support of communities, particularly those who are historically marginalized or underrepresented, to share their experiences and stories that may not be shared by people outside of those communities. These affinity spaces provide an opportunity for deeper learning and exploration.
