September is globally recognized as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The 2018 theme is “Working Together to Prevent Suicide.” In the spirit of working together, UW-Madison will participate in coordinated activities throughout September to engage our campus community around this important, though often under-recognized and misunderstood, health issue.
This event is a free suicide prevention training opportunity for any UW-Madison student interested in learning how to recognize warning signs, respond in a supportive way, and refer to resources.
Dinner will be provided. Registration required.
Participants will be emailed a pretest in advance of the training. We ask that all students complete this online ahead of the training.
