This free 60-minute facilitated session will introduce techniques to help UW-Madison website managers develop methods to match their UW-Madison business objectives to specific and measurable website goals. Topics covered include: measuring the right metrics, why goal setting matters, how to strategically think about website goals, and different ways of measuring.
The outcome of this session would be to identify clear goals that will help choose the right metrics to help you measure progress, map the goals to lower-level signals and refine those signals into metrics you'll track over time.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptop and campus business objectives as the course will walk through an exercise to help users match business objectives to a specific and measurable goal.
This will also be streamed live via the WiscWeb Youtube channel, and archived for future reference.
Following the 60-minute training session, there will be a 60-minute Open Lab for those in attendance. This session will not be streamed.
This session is recommended to be taken before the Google Analytics Basics courses, and is free to all UW-Madison website managers as a collaborative service of the UW-Madison Center For Digital Accessibility and User Experience and WiscWeb.
