With support from Executive Sponsor Provost Sarah Mangelsdorf and Project Sponsors Vice Provost Jocelyn Milner and University Registrar Scott Owczarek, the campus is moving toward a reimplementation of our Academic Catalogs, including a new software for updating and publishing. When the new catalog is published in June 2017, it will be reconstituted as a single, comprehensive Guide to academic programs, courses and faculty reflective of the vastly diverse educational experiences and opportunities UW-Madison provides to both undergraduate and graduate students.
This training session is for anyone who has responsibility for updating Undergraduate Catalog/Guide content and is divided into two parts. During the first part of this training session, the trainer will demonstrate how to make edits and provide an overview of the software’s functions. This is a hands-on session, and participants are encouraged to follow along with the trainer, using the software as part of the learning process. Part one usually takes about an hour and thirty minutes.
The second part of the session is a workshop and a question and answer session. Attendees are encouraged to review the current Undergraduate Catalog and bring pages that need to be updated to be able to better transition to a new way of updating the catalog.
Note: Please only register for this session if you will be editing content in the Undergraduate Catalog/Guide. We will have information sessions highlighting changes to the catalog at a later date.
