Community-based learning courses are fertile ground for students to learn and grow in areas that can be more difficult to articulate and capture than traditional academic learning outcomes. In an interactive workshop format, practitioners of community-based learning will engage with and provide feedback on a campus-wide effort to develop a framework of discipline-bridging student learning outcomes from community-based learning. Participants will have a chance to explore and share with colleagues how their own teaching addresses the types of civic, social, personal, and diversity-oriented skills and dispositions that are so important for students involved in community engagement work.
Lunch will be provided.
