Prime-time Big Ten football returns to Camp Randall

Wisconsin to host Ohio State and Nebraska under the lights in October

MADISON, Wis. — For the first time in five years, Camp Randall Stadium's lights will shine on a Big Ten Conference football game. Two games, actually.

Wisconsin will host conference foes Ohio State and Nebraska in a pair of prime-time matchups, with the Buckeyes coming to Camp Randall for a 7 p.m. (CT) kickoff on Oct. 15 and the Huskers making the trip to Madison for a game that will kick at 6 p.m. on Oct. 29. Both games will air on an ESPN network to be determined.

Nebraska and Ohio State also happen to be the most recent Big Ten foes to play under the lights at Camp Randall.

Monday's announcement by ESPN of its prime time lineup brings conference night games back to the Badgers' home field for the first time since 2011. That's when Wisconsin scored a 48-17 win over Nebraska in the Huskers' first-ever Big Ten game.

Prior to that, the most recent Big Ten night game in Madison was UW's thrilling 31-18 win over No. 1-ranked Ohio State in 2010, the third all-time meeting between the teams under the lights at Camp Randall. UW also scored a 17-10 win in 2003 and Ohio State claimed a 20-17 triumph in 2008.

The Badgers are 12-4 all-time in night games at Camp Randall, including a mark of 6-3 against Big Ten opponents.

Kickoff times for the remainder of Wisconsin's schedule have yet to be determined.
