All UW-Madison courses are required to have course learning outcomes. The learning outcomes are made public to students through the course syllabus. Course learning outcomes are statements about the knowledge and skills that students are expected to know, be able to do, or value by the end of the course. This brown bag session will provide instructors with information on how to write clear and measurable course learning outcomes. Participants will gain hands-on experience developing learning outcomes for their course(s). Instructors who teach the same course are especially encouraged to attend to work together to define common learning outcomes for the course.
