A message from the UW-Madison Engineering Physics Department

As an engineering colleague, we'd like to let you know about summer online options at UW-Madison that might be of interest to your undergraduate students.

Through the UW-Madison College of Engineering, we offer Statics (EMA 201), Dynamics (EMA 202), and Mechanics of Materials (EMA 303) fully online as part of our Summer Term. Your students can complete one of these courses this summer and be better prepared for your courses when they return to school in the fall.

We provide your students with the same interdisciplinary activities and real-world design challenges that we present to their peers at UW-Madison. As you know, we'll expect them to work hard. But we will expose them to the technological tools and resources that fully prepare them for subsequent engineering coursework—and to meet 21st-century engineering needs.

Students need to commit at least 20 hours per week to their course. Each course is scheduled June 15-August 9. Enrollment in only one course is permitted. Students will need high-speed internet plus webcam, microphone, and scanner to be a successful online learner.

We make it easy for your students take online courses at UW-Madison for Summer Term. Details about admission and enrollment are found on our Summer Term site. Applying to be a UW-Madison visiting student is free and students do not have to commit right now.

Please feel free to copy, paste, and share with your students the following URL, which is the address of the page designed exclusively for Summer Term engineering students:
