Problem-Solving and Analysis is one of the core HR Competencies we seek to develop among all HR and Payroll professionals on this campus. This workshop will be an introduction to some useful strategies that we may employ in problem-solving, through a series of fun and interactive case studies and exercises. As a result of this three-hour workshop, learners will be able to demonstrate (a) Knowledge of several key problem-solving tools and approaches, (b) How to apply these approaches to key HR challenges, and (c) Describe how they may apply this knowledge to their own work. Through an engaged learning approach, learners will address familiar Scenarios they are likely to face in their work at UW-Madison.
The Instructor will be Harry Webne-Behrman, Interim Director of the UW-Madison HR Communities of Practice Office. He has led many groups that have utilized the tools and techniques that will be shared, and is excited to offer this new workshop focused on their application to HR challenges!
