Individuals will gain fundamental knowledge of the university's vision and structure and how their work connects to its mission. They will engage in informative activities to help them connect with one another, learn how the UW is funded and governed, and emerge with a greater appreciation of their roles within the campus community.
SPECIAL NOTE: This course will be especially useful to individuals who have been with the university for at least 6 months to a year; however, all are welcome.
Having attended the course, participants will be able to
- Identify the organizational structure and understand the UW-Madison's strategic vision and mission
- List the critical success factors of the organization and how one's role connects and assists with the university's mission
- Identify places to connect with peers and co-workers in the university in order to build community.
